Leon: Most stationary shops should sell colored plastic (tanglung paper) which you can use as gels. I only get studio specific gels for colors which I can't find.

nk: The white effect comes from lighting the background to overexpose it. Even a gray background would turn out white if it was lighted enough, and a white background could look black if it was not lighted.

man: Never really used cls or wireless e-ttl. But yeah, I have some cumbersome studio strobes and some speedlights which are taken along for shoots which use lights. Of course the strobes are only good indoors where power is available. No sifu-sifu ler...
